Business Development Lead

About this role

Syntree is building its consulting practice and we need someone who can open doors. This isn't a cold-calling role — it's a relationship and strategy role. You'll work directly with the founder to identify ideal clients, craft outreach, and close partnerships.

What you'll do

  • Identify and qualify prospective consulting clients
  • Lead outreach and first-contact conversations
  • Collaborate with the founder on proposal strategy
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of active opportunities
  • Represent Syntree at events and in online communities

What we're looking for

  • Experience in B2B sales or business development
  • Comfortable talking to technical and non-technical buyers
  • Strong written communication — you can craft a cold email that gets replied to
  • Self-directed — you don't need a manager to tell you what to do next
  • Enough understanding of software to have credible conversations

Nice to have

  • Experience selling technical services or consulting
  • Existing network in the startup or SMB space
  • Familiarity with CRM tools
